Turning a New Bar Installation Into a Story About Design, Workflow, and Experience
Client: Krowne
Location: Taste Italian Kitchen
Services: Commercial Video Production, Commercial Photography, Interviews, Social Media Content
Deliverables: 2 Social Media Videos + Professional Photography
The Project
When Krowne wanted to showcase its equipment inside Taste Italian Kitchen’s newly unveiled outdoor bar, the goal was about more than capturing beautiful stainless steel.
Krowne wanted potential customers to see the complete environment, understand how its equipment integrated into the space, and hear directly from the bartenders who worked with the system.
Maac Media was brought in to transform the new installation into a collection of photo and video assets that could communicate both the premium appearance of Krowne’s products and the real-world experience of using them.
The result was a coordinated commercial production combining cinematic visuals, product focused photography, bartender interviews, and social-first storytelling.
The Challenge
Making Operational Equipment Feel Premium
Bar equipment is primarily designed to work.
That creates a unique marketing challenge.
While the customer sees the finished restaurant and beautifully prepared drinks, much of the infrastructure responsible for making that experience possible lives behind the bar.
Krowne wanted to bring that part of the experience forward.
The content needed to showcase the restaurant itself while drawing attention to the Krowne equipment integrated throughout the bar without making the finished videos feel like traditional product demonstrations.
Every visual detail also mattered.
Krowne positioned the installation as a premium product, which meant fingerprints on stainless steel, empty garnish containers, understocked bottle racks, clutter, poor lighting, or unfinished surfaces could weaken that perception.
The environment needed to feel:
Clean. Complete. Functional. Intentional. Premium.
The Objective
The production centered around two complementary stories.
Show the experience.
The first objective was to reveal Taste Italian Kitchen’s new outdoor bar in a way that allowed the audience to experience the environment before focusing on the equipment behind it.
The restaurant, architecture, drinks, bartender activity, and overall atmosphere established the setting.
Then the details revealed how Krowne fit into that experience.
Explain the functionality.
Beautiful images alone couldn't tell the complete story.
Krowne also wanted the people actually using its equipment to describe their experience working behind the bar.
By interviewing bartenders, we could move beyond simply telling viewers that Krowne makes premium equipment.
We could show the equipment working and allow its users to explain why that matters.
The Strategy
Maac Media structured the production around three primary content needs:
Cinematic Bar Reveal
The first social video focused on the visual experience of the completed outdoor bar.
Wide establishing shots introduced the environment before transitioning into tighter details of Krowne’s equipment, bartender activity, drinks, stainless-steel finishes, and product branding.
The purpose was not simply to document the installation.
It was to make the viewer feel as though they were discovering the space for themselves.
Story-Driven Video
The second video added the human element.
We interviewed bartenders working directly with the Krowne system and captured them interacting naturally with the equipment.
Their perspective allowed the finished piece to communicate Krowne’s value through the experiences of the people actually using its products.
This transformed the equipment from something viewers could simply see into something they could better understand.
Commercial Photography
Krowne also needed polished still photography of both the overall bar environment and the equipment installed throughout it.
The photography was designed to complement the video production while giving Krowne a separate library of high-quality visual assets for its marketing.
Pre-Production
A significant portion of the project's success was determined before production began.
Because stainless steel played such a prominent role in Krowne's equipment, small imperfections could become highly visible on camera.
We worked from detailed creative direction covering how the bar needed to be presented.
That meant ensuring the space looked operational rather than empty or staged.
Ice bins needed ice.
Garnish stations needed garnishes.
Bottle racks needed bottles.
Surfaces needed to remain clean.
And stainless steel needed to be polished and free of visible fingerprints.
Lighting also required special consideration.
Reflective stainless-steel surfaces can quickly become either too dark or visually distracting depending on their surroundings. The photo and video approach therefore had to preserve detail while maintaining the upscale aesthetic Krowne wanted associated with its brand.
A Two-Person Production
Maac Media executed the entire production with a streamlined two-person crew.
Bryson McDonald handled video production while Justin Brown handled commercial photography.
Working with a small crew gave us the flexibility to move efficiently around the outdoor bar while capturing both disciplines during the same production window.
Rather than having separate photo and video productions, we coordinated the two simultaneously so Krowne could receive a cohesive library of assets without unnecessarily disrupting the venue.
The production captured:
Wide environmental imagery
Krowne equipment details
Product branding
Stainless-steel finishes
Bartender workflow
Drink preparation
Finished drinks
Behind-the-bar activity
Bartender interviews
Supporting lifestyle imagery
One production day ultimately generated both motion and still assets for Krowne's marketing team.
The Deliverables
From the production, Maac Media delivered:
Two Social Media Videos
One visually driven bar reveal highlighting the finished environment and Krowne installation.
One story-focused piece incorporating the experiences of the bartenders working with Krowne's equipment.
Professional Commercial Photography
A polished collection of photographs showcasing:
The overall outdoor bar
Krowne equipment
Equipment details
Stainless-steel finishes
Bartender activity
Product integration within the finished environment
Together, the video and photography provided Krowne with a cohesive collection of assets rather than a single piece of content.
The Result
Krowne received a collection of professional marketing assets that demonstrated its products from two perspectives:
How the equipment looks.
And, more importantly,
how the equipment works for the people using it.
Krowne subsequently incorporated the finished content into its social media marketing, allowing the installation at Taste Italian Kitchen to become more than a completed project.
It became a marketing story.
The content gave Krowne an opportunity to showcase the craftsmanship of its equipment, the finished hospitality environment, and authentic feedback from people working behind the bar.
Krowne was highly pleased with both the finished photography and video content.
More Than a Bar Reveal
The strongest part of this project wasn't simply the visual transformation of a new outdoor space.
It was the ability to connect environment, product, and people within the same story.
Taste Italian Kitchen provided the setting.
Krowne's equipment provided the infrastructure.
The bartenders demonstrated how that infrastructure affected the experience behind the bar.
And Maac Media brought those pieces together through commercial photography and video.
Because effective product marketing shouldn't only show people what something looks like.
It should help them understand why it matters.
